DESCRIPTION:
Okichitaw is a Native people's martial art system for combat and self-defense. This free demonstration and workshop will be conducted by Master George Lepine, who is the founder and developer of Okichitaw. Master Lepine is Vice-President of the World Martial Arts Union and is also a 6th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, as well as a Black Belt in Hapkido, and a Brown Belt in Judo. He established this Canadian Aboriginal Martial Art system through historical research and practical experiences as well as securing and maintaining cultural significance. This martial art system is based on Plains-Cree and Assinaboine combat principles and methods.
